Flute Studio uses your microphone for live pitch feedback and riyaz take recording on your device. Microphone audio and recordings are never uploaded, collected, or stored on our servers. Lessons, settings, calibration, and your riyaz history all live on your device.
The app creates a random anonymous account — no name, no email, no sign-in. It exists only to verify purchases and rate-limit the AI coach, and it is not used to track you across apps. You can delete it any time in Settings; deletion removes the server record immediately.
StoreKit purchases are processed by Apple. To unlock Pro, the app sends Apple's signed purchase receipt and the anonymous account identifier to our backend, hosted on Amazon Web Services; we store only the entitlement status needed to recognise Pro.
When you ask the riyaz coach for feedback, the app sends practice metrics — per-swara timing, mean cents offset, steadiness, in-tune percentage, raga, and take length — to our backend. A third-party AI service processes those numbers to write your drill. Your audio is never uploaded — only the numeric scores computed on your device. Coach requests are rate-limited per day and are not used for advertising.
